As a fee-only Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), we are committed to providing personalized financial guidance to a diverse clientele, including thriving professionals, small business owners, and first-generation wealth-builders. Our work spans the U.S. and even reaches globally, encompassing clients from their late 20s to early 50s.
While we expect you to work standard business hours, we encourage a balanced approach that accommodates personal and family needs, as long as there is effective collaboration with the team, active participation in meetings, and a commitment to meeting client needs. Additionally, some clients may require meetings outside of regular business hours (EST), and flexibility in this area is essential as we strive to accommodate our client’s schedules, given that our clients are located across the country.

Your Role: Joining YGC Wealth as an Associate Wealth Advisor means diving deep into the financial dynamics of our clients under the direct mentorship of our Founder + Senior Wealth Advisor, Rianka R. Dorsainvil, CFP®. You'll play a crucial role in all operational facets, from strategic planning to daily management, ensuring no aspect of our client service is overlooked. We value the ability to handle detailed financial data, impeccable organizational skills, and strong communication capabilities.
About You & Vital to Your Role:
Hold the CFP® designation.
Resonates with each of YGC Wealth company core values (outline below).
Have experience in comprehensive financial planning, including but not limited to reviewing estate planning documents, solid foundational personal tax knowledge, and understanding the fundamentals of RSUs.
Have a track record as an intrapreneur who enjoys learning and engaging in various aspects of the business by wearing “different hats.”
Have the discipline and ability to manage yourself and your own schedule as a self-starter. Effective self-direction with ability to make sound decisions with little to no direction.
Excellent communicator who understands how to effectively utilize messaging, video calls, and emails throughout the day in a mostly virtual work environment. Transparent, internal communication is vital.
Comfortable with being client-facing and able to communicate tactfully, diplomatically, clearly, and courteously.
Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to refine and implement new processes to enhance the overall efficiency of the firm’s business operations.
Proactive in expecting the next step for client needs and solutions-oriented to include the analytical ability to summarize financial planning topics in support of our client’s goals and needs.
A love of technology and vision for how it can enhance the client experience. Sampling of our tech stack: eMoney, GSuite, Wealthbox, Zoom, iRebal, FP Alpha and Kwanti.
Familiar with onboarding and supporting custodial accounts with Charles Schwab and Altruist.
This position is ideally suited for candidates based in the DC Metro area. Initially, it requires coming into the office 1 to 2 days a week, with monthly in-person strategic meetings.
What You’ll Be Doing Now:
Learn financial planning the “YGC Wealth” way by integrating your expertise and experience into our client-centered planning process.
Supporting Senior Wealth Advisor with creating and monitoring financial plans, including cash flow modeling, spending/savings recommendations, debt paydown, credit report analysis, what-if scenarios, insurance needs, investment recommendations, estate planning, tax planning, etc.
Manage and maintain client and financial planning workflows and create workflows/SOPs as needed.
Build and maintain client portals, financial plans and action steps/tasks in eMoney.
Prepare for and attend client meetings (e.g., provide summary recaps, take notes and/or review AI notes, appropriate follow-up, etc.)
Develop a structured meeting agenda for review with the Senior Wealth Advisor, aiming for 80% client-ready completeness. Collaborate with the Senior Wealth Advisor on strategic topics to refine the agenda to 100% client-ready before the meeting.
Initiate and follow up on client communications, including but not limited to assisting with the client portal and tracking action items. Promptly address client questions and concerns, seeking guidance from the Senior Wealth Advisor as needed.
Take ownership of client action items by providing proactive reminders, supporting implementation, and recognizing when to involve the Senior Wealth Advisor to ensure a seamless client experience.
As knowledge & experience evolves, answer the majority of basic or intermediate tactical financial planning & investment questions independently.
Data entry and maintenance of internal systems such as Wealthbox, eMoney, FP Alpha, Google Suite, etc.
Research financial planning topics and complex financial situations. Provide summaries and recommendations for integration in financial plans and client communications.
Attend weekly financial planning and team meetings to discuss and review operations and client matters.
Handle vendor advocate calls, which include calling student loan servicers, investment companies, accountants, estate attorneys, insurance agents, etc.
With minimal guidance, assume responsibility for planning, organizing and executing major projects as directed by Rianka.
Sustain the highest level of professionalism with both internal and external partners
Maintain strict confidentiality.

What We Are Offering:
Salary & Benefits:
Salaried full-time employee starting at $80,000/year as an Associate Wealth Advisor.
$1,000 professional development stipend
CFP® annual dues covered
Personal Time Off of three (3) weeks or 120 hours per year accrued monthly, plus major national holidays.
Retirement Plan: 3% Non-elective employer contribution to 401k after 90 days of employment.
Health Reimbursement Arrangement via QSEHRA for up to $300/month (there is no group health insurance plan currently and this is meant to subsidize the cost of you buying your own insurance if needed).
We will purchase a company-owned Apple laptop device for your work use.
Co-working space for strategic in-person meetings in the DMV area.
We welcome fully remote team members and value in-person collaboration. For the right fit, we’ll find a way to make it work.
As a growing firm, firmwide compensation and benefits are reviewed twice a year, typically in July and December.
